Shout Messages is an Android SMS app featuring optional end-to-end encryption for private and secure text and image messaging without relying on internet connectivity or servers.

Things to Know

  • Shout works best for domestic messaging within the same country. SMS reliability is dependent on private telecom providers, and international SMS may not work properly.

  • Shout is good at sending basic quality photos safely. It only uses SMS to send and does not require MMS or mobile data.

  • Shout supports encrypted one-to-one chats.

  • Shout can be set as your default SMS and used as an alternative to internet-reliant private messengers, like WhatsApp and Signal.

Shout is not good for

  • Encrypted group chats

  • Sending high resolution images
